Why We Love The Combo

Is There Downtime?

Unlike both the Chemical Peels and the Diamond Glow treatments, there is some downtime associated with combinging both treatments. However, peeling is limited and typically starts 1-2 days post treatment and lasts 3-7 days if at all. Mostly, you’ll noticed increased “dryness” as the skin starts to shed, which can be improved with the use of a heavy moisturizer.

The Big Why?

So many of our clients get asked why botox? Be sure to read her post for personal look into why she decided to try botox and why Lapiel was the right fit for her!

I considered Botox for almost two years before I finally decided to pull the trigger.  I did some research on local Med Spas, dermatologists, plastic surgeons, etc. and in the end, decided to partner up with Lapiel Laser Center.  Lapiel is a local Med Spa that focuses on laser hair removal, Botox and other skincare procedures (like silk peels and chemical peels).  Some people have a skewed opinion about Med Spas and say not to trust them.  I would have to whole-heartedly disagree with that statement.  Catalina, the Nurse Practitioner, at Lapiel made me feel so comfortable and was willing to answer every single one of my questions before starting anything.  She explained the process and walked me through each step, telling me what she was doing and why.

Does Botox Hurt?

So back to the beginning, I was seriously terrified of getting Botox for the first time.  The thought of needles poking my forehead made me want to pass out.  I have a very low pain tolerance and couldn’t stand knowing that I would willingly induce pain upon myself.  A little dramatic right?  I soon discovered, yes, this was me being WAY dramatic.

Meet Olivia

Olivia was born and raised in New Glarus, Wi. (Yes, the town with the Spotted Cow!) She attended North Central College, in Naperville, IL and graduated with a BA in 2015. Shortly after graduation, she moved to Chicago and attended the Aveda Institute, where Julie was her instructor and mentor. Olivia recently joined the Lapiel team as their newst Eshtetician and Client Coordinator. After working as Esthetician in the Subarbs for a couple of years, Olivia was able to hone her skills and bring her experience with Glytone to Lapiel. Her favorite service would have to be Teen Facials which helps teens to improve their ever changing skin. She loves to help clients gain confidence through proper skincare practices

What is Laser Skin Rejuvenation?

Why Chemical Peels?
